Hey all,
Happy Sunday from NYC.
Welcome to the best season: fall.
Summer people, I love you, but you had your turn. And now it’s OUR time.
I'm writing this with breaded lemon chicken in the pan (making my special pasta for my boyfriend) and my Pottery Barn faux fur mink blanket within arm's reach, so yes, I'm biased. P.S. This blanket will change your life.
I know, I know. A very different newsletter from my usual marketing builds.
If you want something more tactical, check out last week’s: YOUR OPERATING PLAN SHOULD SCARE YOU or sharpen your AI positioning and read: WTF ARE YOU SAYING?
This week I'm making the case that fall is YOUR season.
15 reasons, starting the second you walk outside and ending the second you get home.
Let's get into it.
THE CITY IS SHOWING OFF, SO SHOULD YOU
There are literally colors EVERYWHERE: You're getting the most beautiful palette of the entire year. Every time you catch the colorful, crisp vibes, you feel a little more creative and grateful that you're the one who gets to take it all in.
Weathermaxxing: Not too hot, not too cold. You can walk across the whole city and show up looking exactly how you left. Dripping in sweat, we’re over you!
Fall fashion is fab: Name a better look than an incredible fall jacket. I'll wait. (Top contender is your old Columbia zip-up coming out of hibernation.)
NYC in the fall is a TV show: Gossip Girl made New York fall look like pure magic and Rory Gilmore made all of us want a hot coffee and a pile of books. (One Tree Hill also gives fall, iykyk) In New York, fall lives up to the hype.

Shoutout Gossip Girl
EVERYONE'S BACK, FILL YOUR CALENDAR
Hello, hello, hello: Summer scatters everyone, thank g fall drags them all home. Your calendar goes to warm coffees topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice and dinners with friends you haven't seen in months.
Grind mode is IN season: Summer vacay is OVER. Everyone is locked in, which means people are SO down to collab. Sitting on a partnership or co-marketing idea? Pitch it now while everyone's feeling the energy.
Your city is popping: It's event season in B2B and every single night has something on it. The energy is contagious, and I'm obsessed. You should be too.
Competition is in the air: It's running through your TV (baseball, basketball, college football) and blowing up your phone (shoutout ESPN app, no idea how my BF converted me into a user?? it’s not me, I swear), which is the best excuse ever to get your people in one room hyped up.

2.5 months until the new year. Perfect time to get a new name, new clothes, new hair, new job. DO IT ALL!
MAKE YOUR TRIP HOME EXTRA COZY
Cozy season = permission to CHILL BABY: Who are we kidding, the year takes a lot out of you. Literally too much. We all need a f*cking break. I know you can't take a full one (who can in the startup world??) but fall gets you the closest. This Milky oolong tea is under $20 and will make your whole life better.
Fall cooking is S-tier: A lot of you don't know this about me, but I LOVE cooking (disclaimer: when I have the time). If work let me, I'd make a meal every single day. Fall is when I find the time anyway.
The warmth sneaks in: Everything outside is getting colder while everything inside is getting warmer. The food gets hotter, the blankets come out, and I'm living for the contrast. Yes, my windows are currently open rn.
New fall obsessions: A Snowclad pan I found on Amazon (OBSESSED, half the price of Hexclad) and shopping at Ouris on the UES way more than I should.

My big brother, Josh, and boyfriend on a walk at our family’s house in Wisco
Watching my bf getting attacked my my uncle’s 7 pound puppy made me lololol
GIVE YOUR PEOPLE LOVE
Your people are back within reach: Best time of year to see your friends and family. I'm soaking up as much family time as I can, and we're taking a fall boat cruise up the coast soon.
Love shows up at any age, EMBRACE IT: I was just home in Florida with my grandpa. He's 89 and his girlfriend is 95. They were friends for 35 years before anything happened. My grandpa and grandma were together for almost 70 years, so seeing him with someone new is wild and cute. You can find love and companionship at literally any age.
A fall flower surprise is my favorite kind of surprise ❤ ASK A FLOWER SHOP TO MAKE A FALL BOUQUET FOR YOU!!!

TAKE 5 SECONDS TO BE GRATEFUL
Fall rolls you right into the holidays: Fall slides into holiday szn, so you naturally start feeling more grateful. And this year I'm feeling it BIG.
Knight Vision just turned one!! A year ago it was a totally different company. PMF was hard to get to, and I've learned it's never finished because it keeps moving.
But we're in such a good spot right now, working with incredible customers who are obsessed with what we build them.
And we’re obsessed with them too :)
Biggest lesson of the year? Pick your customers like you pick your friends. Just because someone can pay you doesn't mean you should work with them.
That's why I trust our partners who refer clients so much. Thanks to them, I get to work with the best of the best. Shoutout to you, you know who you are!
Side thought: I started this newsletter in March 2025 and this is edition 67. Sometimes I want to reread every single one and see how my brain has evolved. Stay tuned; that might be its own edition.
My writing always bends around whatever I'm building.
Since starting Knight Vision, I've noticed I write more about the stuff that lifts me up, because I need the positivity more than I used to when I was a FTE elsewhere.
So this one's me lifting myself up, and now you get all the good vibes too!
WELL, HOW'D I DO?
I'm in an incredible place with my health and with what we're building. The trees are gold and the chicken is sizzling on top of lemon angel hair pasta with sautéed mushrooms, onions, pepper, and spicy salt. Nothing has ever called my name louder.
Fall is YOUR season. Go be obsessed with it.
I'm so grateful you spend part of your Sunday with me. I hope you have the best week ahead.
